I would love to use a name for this unit other than Internet Safety. That's really just one component of what we want to do.
Maybe Digital Citizenship would be a better name. I feel like the older students feel like when they hear Internet Safety, it's, "Oh not that again."

Key Safety Rules Taught, Including:
1. Don’t open e-mails or enclosures from people you don’t know.
2. Never respond to inappropriate or offensive messages.
3. Pick a safe screen name.
4. Don’t tell anyone your exact age. Just say you are under 18.
5. Never send pictures of yourself without your parent’s permission.
6. Never give your password online.
7. Do not fill out surveys or register at sites without your parent’s permission.
8. Never delete an e-mail that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Save it and show it to an adult you trust...
