Visit the New York Public Library
URL: http://www.nypl.org

This site is a gold mine and it's all free! All you need is to have a New York City public library card by your side when you log on. (Every year the librarian takes Fifth Graders on a field trip to the public library to get library cards. Thus all Upper Schoolers have library cards.) There is full text access to periodical articles, World Book Encyclopedia, and many more excellent reference databases.

No iPods, CD Players, or cell phones may be used in the library.
Please do not bring food or drink into the library.
